Kevin Johnson Invited to Senior Bowl

Senior Wake Forest cornerback Kevin Johnson has been invited to the Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on January 24.

Kevin Johnson, a senior cornerback from Maryland, has been invited to the Senior Bowl to be held on January 24, 2015 in Mobile, Alabama. The Senior Bowl is well-regarded as the best chance for seniors to get in front of scouts one final time and provides yet another accolade for Johnson's resume as he looks to make a run at the NFL. Johnson is considered by most media and draft sites to be one of the top cornerbacks entering the 2015 NFL draft and KJ will get the opportunity to impress plenty of front office personnel throughout practices leading up to the Bowl.

Johnson is the leader of a Wake Forest defense who has done a solid job keeping the Demon Deacons in games despite an absolutely anemic offense. Most recently the Deacons won 6-3 in double overtime against Virginia Tech, holding the Hokies to zero points in regulation. Johnson has one interception to go along with 31 tackles and six pass deflections. Despite being slightly smaller than the average cornerback, KJ has earned a reputation as a physical speedster who can lower the boom if need be as many ACC receivers have found out in the 2014 season.

Congratulations to KJ on these accomplishments, the first of many and we are quite proud to call you a Demon Deacon.
