ACC Media Day Preseason Poll Released

Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY Sports

The ACC Media preseason poll is here and the usual suspects are projected to finish towards the top. Duke is projected to finish 1st, with North Carolina in 2nd, followed by ACC newcomer Louisville in 3rd.  Duke received 41 of the 65 1st place votes, with North Carolina receiving 12. Last year's ACC Tournament and regular season champions, Virginia, received 7 1st place votes.

Wake Forest is projected to finish 12th in the league, which is 1 spot higher than their KenPom ranking. In my eyes, rankings 8-12 could go any number of ways, with Georgia Tech, Boston College and Virginia Tech as the clear bottom 3 in the conference.

North Carolina's Marcus Paige is the Preseason ACC Player of the Year, and Duke's Jahil Okafor is the Preseason Rookie of the Year. Okafor is considered by many to be a legitimate contender to be the #1 overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft.

Riley and I will share more of our thoughts on the preseason rankings in tonight's episode of Roll The Quadcast. Disagree with the poll? Call in at 8 to voice your opinion.
