Wake Forest announced today that the school has agreed to a home-and-home series with Ole Miss that will take place in 2024 and 2025. Wake Forest will host Ole Miss on September 14, 2024 and will play in Oxford, Mississippi on September 13, 2025. By that time Bo Wallace may be an actual doctor. The two schools met previously in 2006 and 2008, with Wake Forest winning both contests.
This move is part of a new requirement of Power-5 conferences to schedule at least one Power-5 opponent out of conference each season. Notre Dame also counts towards this requirement. In the coming years Wake Forest has agreements with Indiana, Notre Dame, and now Ole Miss. Wake Forest is still looking for opponents to schedule in 2019 and 2021.
Ole Miss is currently ranked number 3 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls.
Who all would you like to see Wake Forest try and schedule in 2019 and 2021? You can factor in whatever you'd like. Be it quality of opponent, national exposure, travel costs, recruiting ground, anything you can possibly think of.
I just know I'm pumped to fill up my red solo cup in the Grove. Will Katy Perry be the guest picker again?
