We all know #TheRivalry has had its share of classic games and memorable moments. Yesterday, our friends at the ACC Network brought us a lunchtime special in the form of a replay of the 2006 showdown between Wake Forest and Boston College in preparation of tonight's highly anticipated (at least for some of us) matchup between the two schools. The game features Matt Ryan traveling to Winston-Salem to take on the Deacs' vaunted defense and orbit-sweeping offense led by Kenny Moore, Kevin Marion and Riley Skinner. Pay attention to how the Deacs pursue the ball on defense, it's incredible. The orbit sweeps and misdirection are also fun to watch, especially when you see a quarterback down the field blocking.
While the above game was critically important for the Deacs in their pursuit of the Atlantic Division title, tonight's game incredibly important for this Wake Forest team in their quest for bowl eligibility. A win would send the Deacs to 2-0 on the season and put us in excellent position to earn a bowl berth as we will have five home games remaining and road games remaining at Army and Syracuse.
