Last week was pretty bad as we all know. We threw the ball effectively down the field at times but didn't do enough of it. No runs up the middle and all option type pitches and stretches failed us once again. Combination of blocking and scheme, but obviously that still needs to be worked out.
If we keep playing like we have the first three weeks then tomorrow may be our last chance at a win. I'm not holding my breath based on what I have seen from the offense, so the defense better once again come to play.
I missed last week on the positive side by picking Wake, but I really do feel like the Deacs will take care of Army tomorrow. I hope so for all of our cases.

Wake 27 Army 24
Against my better judgment I will pick Wake who has disappointed me thoroughly the past two weekends. It's a new week, and I'm willing to pick Wake to rebound and win this week. They are 3.5 point favorites so they should win. Falling to 1-3 against the easiest stretch of your schedule and then having to travel to Death Valley to take on Clemson isn't exactly a recipe for season long success. Army's defense just isn't very good and if our offense is ever going to get going, this is going to be the game.
Samurai (1-2)
At this point, I don't know what to think. However, because I just can't pick Wake to lose a game like this, I'm going to go 24-21 Wake. Games against option offenses are always tough to predict, and I certainly expect Army to show us how running an offense like that is really done. That said, I think Tanner Price, Michael Campanaro, and Johnathan Williams will prove just a little bit too much for the Army defense, and the Deacs will manage to get to 2-2.
Bart Johnston (2-1)
I think Wake comes out pretty hot and takes care of business against a sub-par Army team. I want to believe that we spent a lot of time this week working on adding some more plays downfield into the offensive playbook and that we can get a game against a bad Army defense under our belt before heading to Death Valley next week to take on Clemson. If Wake wants to have any chance left at making a bowl this is a must-win and for some reason I think we get it done. I'll take Wake 27-20. I do think the defense will perform well and limit Army offensively but I think we will give them good field position a couple of times and they will score a couple of touchdowns. We have to win tomorrow.
John Mundy (2-1)
I've spent a lot of time this week setting the Deacons' offensive attack on fire in various public forums. That being said, I find it hard to believe that the Deacs head up to West Point and lay an egg. If anything, they are heading to New York with bad intentions.
Option or no option, Wake Forest has better personnel at the skill positions and absolutely should win this game. Let's not forget how good this defense is. Considering how emotional and upset the Deacs were postgame last week, I will not be surprised it this is a woodshed affair on national television.
I'll take Wake Forest to win big, 35-3 to right the ship at 2-2.
