The Deacs finally scored their second verbal commit of the 2014 class when they landed 7' 2" 275 pound Isaac Haas from Piedmont, Alabama. Haas is a 4-star recruit, ranked 58th nationally according to Rivals and will join fellow 4-star recruit Shelton Mitchell, who is a 6'3" point guard out of Waxhaw, North Carolina.
Haas was on Wake's campus this weekend for an official visit after he visited Purdue last weekend. He was scheduled to visit Virginia and Texas A&M during the coming weeks, but the 7-footer enjoyed his time at Wake so much that he ultimately decided to commit to the Deacs this weekend.
Haas is known for his outstanding rebounding and post defense. He has the potential to contribute and possibly even start from day one. Haas is a critical piece to the Deacs' rebuilding project and is a great get from Jeff Bzdelik.

Haas chose the Deacs over Purdue, Virginia, UAB, and Texas A&M.
Deacon fans, please join me in welcoming Isaac Haas to the Demon Deacon family!
