2014 LB Jaboree Williams commits to Wake Forest

Three star 6'0, 210 lb outside linebacker Jaboree Williams out of Fort Lauderdale High School in Florida just committed to Wake Forest, joining Cameron Glenn as the second commit in the class of 2014. He has nice speed and size for a linebacker and is a great early addition for the Deacs '14 signing class.

Jaboree Williams started the spring with only two mid-major offers in collegiate fall, but exploded onto the scene recently, with Wake Forest leading the way on this diamond in the rough. Although nearly 20 schools have offered Williams since Wake Forest did, the Deacs eye for scouting talent and staying on him paid off as he committed to Mother So Dear earlier tonight.

247Sports has him running a 4.84 40 yard dash and is an incredibly intelligent young man. He wants to become a doctor and will be a fantastic fit at Wake Forest both academically and athletically. Coach Ray McCartney is fully responsible for this find and did an incredible job of identifying and recruiting Williams.

Williams is planning to enroll at Wake Forest in January after he graduates at Fort Lauderdale High School this coming winter.

It appears that he is very active on social media, particularly Twitter, where his handle is @FlyGuyJayBee, and tweeted this a short while ago.

This is not only a great pickup due to the talent and intelligence level of Williams, but he is also very close with several other recruits that Wake Forest is targeting as well. Hopefully he will continue to bring people to Wake and will enjoy his 4 or 5 years here.

Welcome to Wake Jaboree, we are glad to have you here and these will be the best years of your life!!!
