Media Timeout- 7:33 Remaining

Wake Forest and Maryland are tied at 54 and the tension is mounting here in Greensboro. It's been the Dez Wells show for Maryland, who now has 19 points. Nick Faust follows him with 9. CJ Harris continues to pace the Deacs with 19 of his own while Devin Thomas has contributed 12. Only one Deac in foul trouble, Moto, who has 4. Three Terps have 3 fouls apiece.

Halftime Update-

CJ Harris has 13 points and Devin Thomas has added 8 to give the Demon Deacons a 35-30 lead over Maryland here in Greensboro. The Terps led 17-15 at the under-8 media timeout before Harris hit 2 three-pointers while Maryland went 3-6 from the free throw line.

Maryland is led by Dez Wells and Seth Allen, who have 7 points apiece.

Wake Forest forced 10 Maryland turnovers and scored 13 points as a result. Devin Thomas has 4 rebounds to lead the Deacs.

There is a good crowd on hand for tonight's first game. Many of them are State fans who already consider Maryland a Big Ten team.

Media Timeout- 3:17 Remaining

Wake goes on a 6-0 run thanks to some nifty passing from Devin Thomas. Seth Allen answers with three and a steal. WAke leads 29-25 and CJ Harris has 13 already, with 3 three-pointers.

Media Timeout- 11:06 Remaining

Wake Forest is shooting 30.8 from the floor, and for some reason CJ Harris AND Travis McKie were both sitting for the last couple of minutes. I don't know about all that. They're back out now. 13-9, Terps. This is kind of ugly except for the overly excited Wake Fan directly behind the Wake bench.

Media Timeout- 15:59 Remaining

Nick Faust and Alex Len hit deep three-pointers, CJ Harris hits one, and there you have it. 6-3, Maryland at the first media timeout. Karl Hess already getting whistle-happy, so it's worth watching.

Update: 7:00pm

The Deacs take the floor and we're almost ready to roll here in Greensboro.

And the Maryland band rules.

Greetings from the Greensboro Coliseum and the 2013 ACC Tournament! Coming up shortly is game one of the evening session, pitting seventh-seeded Maryland against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Tip will be at 7:00 p.m. and will be televised on the ACC Network. The teams are out on the floor warming up, and the fans have started to trickle in. Our nightcap tonight will pit Florida State against Clemson. I was just asked what I thought the over/under was on attendance for the late game.
