Wake Forest continued its impressive assault on recruiting as the Demon Deacons landed yet another commit (four in the past four days). The Deacs took a brief step outside the offensive linemen barrage and grabbed a defensive back from Texas in Brad Watson.
Watson hails from Westwood High School in Texas, and comes in at 6'1, 170. It appears that he was the team MVP in 2011, amassing 64 tackles, 4 INTS and a forced fumble on the year.
He had interest from Arizona State, Baylor, SMU, and obviously an offer from Wake Forest that came in the past month. Brad is a 2 star, but like the other recruits that the Deacs have landed it seems that he is on the way up and could be a pretty big steal when it's all said and done.
From the highlight reel it looks like Watson does a great job of reading the play (getting back in position on PA's and looking for the ball once it is in the air). He also has decently good footwork and a pretty high vertical on that second clip. Looks to be a great addition to an already loaded secondary.
Welcome aboard Brad!!!
