Deacon Dump: Boston College

There is no way around it. Wake Forest (4-4) needs to take care of business against Boston College (2-6) at home this weekend to preserve any chance of becoming bowl eligible. After this week, they play at NC State, at #4 Notre Dame and home versus Vanderbilt. The Demon Deacons are not favored in any of those games, so winning two is extremely unrealistic. The Eagles are coming off a huge win against Maryland 20-17-- their first ACC win this season. They are led by conservative quarterback Chase Rettig who has thrown 15 TD's to only 5 INT's. Like the Deacs, these Eagles don't beat themselves with turnovers and penalties. This is a very winnable game for the Deacs, if they can't beat Boston College they don't deserve to go to a bowl.
