Alec Morris switches commitment from Wake to Alabama

Alec Morris #2 QB (via j88salinas)

8/5 UPDATE: According to Kate Rowan's Twitter, it appears that Morris has switched his commitment from Wake Forest to A-LA-BAMA. Not sure I ever thought I would see the day that Alabama took a commit from Wake Forest. We've come a long way. Best of luck to Alec in Tuscaloosa.

Wake Forest landed their third player in a week for the 2012 recruiting class in Alec Morris, out of Allen, Texas. Morris tweeted yesterday, "Just committed to Wake Forest!". Morris is rated as a 2-star by Scout, and a 3-star by ESPN and Rivals. On Scout, his strengths are listed as: Accuracy, Consistency, and Touch, and his weaknesses are listed as: Arm Strength, Running Ability, and Size(???).

Alec takes what will likely be the 6th and final scholarship at the QB position assuming nobody else transfers. Wake Forest was his first offer (coming back in March), but several other schools were inquiring about him.

We at Blogger So Dear extend the warmest possible welcome to Alec with his commitment to Wake Forest. It will likely be one of the best decisions he will make in his entire life.
