Getting ready for kickoff with EA Sports

We've been pretty barren here the last few weeks--admittedly that's partly our fault and partly because there hasn't been as much to talk about. But with players heading on campus, getting in summer school and getting excited, there will be more in the coming weeks. And as far as timing is concerned, it's great that EA Sports asked our college network to sponsor a series of posts to lead up to the release of NCAA Football 2011 on Tuesday, July 13.

I've been pretty addicted to EA Sports games since I've been playing video games. It has always been a way to get closer to players, to teams, and to really dive deeper into the sport itself. So, as we lead up to the NCAA '11's release, I'll be giving you guys a glimpse into what it feels like to be a fan of the Demon Deacons.

Here's the breakdown of each day and as always, you guys can leave your comments (or even your impressions of the sponsorship itself). This is a big opportunity for the site and the network itself and the partnership makes sense. It's one thing to have a sponsored post; it's another thing entirely to partner with a brand that has been such a big part of my and a lot of other sports fans' lives for so long.
