Matt Gfeller Memorial Doughnut Run--November 13th

Mgdr_medium

It's been that kind of day in the news. On the heels of the KG trash talk, the Mississippi State player's tragic death, the Shots From The Heart dedicated to Skip Prosser and the Sparky Anderson stories, it's been a day to really reflect on who we are and the time we have on this earth.

I don't often get the chance to do this, but there's an event I want to highlight in Winston-Salem coming up. It's the Matt Gfeller Memorial Doughnut Run. The race is in memory of a RJ Reynolds High School linebacker who died in his sophomore year after starting his first high school game two years ago. It's a fun race for a great cause--runners compete in a 5K where competitors must eat 6 Krispy Kreme doughnuts at the halfway point.

The money raised goes towards a college scholarship. Registration is $25 up until the race on November 13 at 9AM at RJ Reynolds High School on Hawthorne Rd.

For more information, check out the site. If you're down in the area, I definitely recommend checking it out.
