The Demon Deacon football staff received more good news Tuesday when offensive lineman Daniel Blitch gave them a verbal commitment. Blitch possesses great size for the position, standing at 6'6" and weighing in at around 320 pounds. He plays on both the offensive and defensive lines for North Hall High School in Gainesville, Georgia, and will likely end up at left tackle when he suits up in college.
Blitch is the first offensive lineman to commit to Wake Forest in the 2010 recruiting class and the eight commitment overall. According to scout.com, he is a three-star player and chose Wake over offers from Vanderbilt and ECU as well as interest from Georgia and Oklahoma State.
