Blogger So Dear's draft profile of Wake Forest cornerback Alphonso Smith
"The hardest thing about [the draft process] is the constant scrutiny," Alphonso Smith said. "On how you have to live your life on a straight line. Any mistake could mean millions of dollars. ... They have to inspect you from head to toe and evaluate you numerous times before they make that investment.
"I did just position drills (Monday). I think I made it look pretty easy. I think I was pretty smooth."
No matter where I am placed in a system I will maximize my potential and continue to make big plays. My college coach Brad Lambert did a very good job of structuring me into an overall linebacker. Coach Lambert made sure I was able to take on and shed blocks like an inside 3-4 linebacker and also taught me to be very strong at the point of attack as a Sam in the 4-3. Coach Lambert also made sure I was able to make big plays in the pass game also. He really made me a student of the game.
