The 2017 recruiting class continues to get bigger as we draw closer to National Signing Day. Wake Forest received a verbal commitment from Sean Maginn on Sunday evening. Maginn is a 6’4”, 270 pound offensive guard out of Suwanee, Georgia. Lean more about Maginn below.

Maginn was formerly committed to Arkansas State, but flipped his commitment to the Demon Deacons following an offer from the Wake Forest coaching staff. He also held offers from Appalachian State, Georgia State, Tulane, Air Force, and others. He is a consensus 2-star prospect and is rated as the 109th best guard in the country, according to 247 Sports. From what I can tell in the Hudl film, he does a nice job of finishing plays by pancaking his opponent. He also played left guard in high school, so that’s the position I expect him to play at Wake, but I assume he can also play right guard. Maginn played for North Gwinnett in the Atlanta area, so Maginn has played against good competition.
National Signing Day is less than two weeks away. If the past week is any indication, it could be a wild ride until the end.
