Poll: Do You Want Wake To Play In The CBI?

So rumor has it lately that Wake is being considered for a possible CBI bid. The CBI is a 16-team "pay-to-play" single elimination tournament wherein teams pay to host games, with the eventual final matchup being a best-of-3 series. How much do teams pay? Well, home teams typically cover the expenses of the visiting teams. I've seen $30,000 as a figure being kicked about, but Stanford paid $60,000 to host Boise State in 2009, so let's assume something like that. The host team keeps 50% of the receipts after recouping the host fee. My question to you, BSD commentariat, is whether you would like Wake to participate in this tournament should the opportunity present itself?

Pros: more basketball for Travis and Coron; postseason experience for the sophomores; decent track record of teams using it as a springboard the following season (VCU the year before they made their FF run, Pitt two years ago, Creighton lost in the final series in Doug McBuckets' freshman year)

Cons: that whole "pay-to-play" shtick; having to sit through any more #BzdelikMachineGunTimeouts will make my eyes bleed; fairly high embarrassment opportunity; missed classes will hurt academics no why are you laughing I'm serious; did you watch the Pitt game
