Stefanie Yderstrom - USA TODAY Sports
John Mundy is live all weekend for the ACC Women's Basketball Tournament in Greensboro. Check back often for updates.
I'm courtside in Greensboro for the 5-12 match-up between Miami and Virginia Tech. Miami is led by 5'8 senior Stefanie Yderstrom who is averaging 12.3 points per game and 6'6 senior Shawnice Wilson, who averages 9.3 points per game.
Virginia Tech is led by junior guard Monet Tellier, averaging 13.3 points per game from the guard position. To beat Miami, the Hokies will need production from 6'1 junior Uju Ugoka, who averages 12.6 points per game coming off the bench.
Miami head coach Katie Meier, who played for Duke from 1985-90, is in her eighth season at the helm of the Hurricane program. Virginia Tech head Hokie Dennis Wolff is in his second season in Blacksburg. Prior to last season, he had never coached a women's program. Wolff was the head men's coach at Boston University for 15 seasons before being fired in 2009.
