In all honesty, the answer is likely "probably not."
But for the first time in a long time, Wake fans have a glimmer of hope when it comes to the men's basketball team. The past month or so has seen significant improvement on the court, resulting in two of the better wins in the Bzdelik era, two (relative) blowouts over lower-major opponents, and an absolute pantsing in Cameron (where a lot of people are gonna get pantsed this season). Our KenPom rating has climbed 60-ish spots in 3 weeks, up to 141st, which is in the realm of respectability (although still last in the ACC).
So, with this level of optimism in mind, I ask this simple question: What does Jeff Bzdelik have to do this season in order to show that he should be brought back next season? Please answer in the poll below.
Note: This is a hypothetical exercise. I am fully aware that the odds of Wake winning the national title are quite miniscule. There is no need to point this out. Instead, a vote for that option would be stating that you think we should retain Jeff Bzdelik, but only if we win the national title.
Note 2: I suspect there might be differing viewpoints to a certain degree. THIS IS AN OPINION-BASED POLL. Opinions, which means that no one is right and no one is wrong.
