The only news on whether Nikita Whitlock will play at FSU on Saturday is that there is none, and probably won’t be for a few days. He sprained his right ankle, and it’s in a boot. He’s rehabbing today I imagine, maybe even as we speak, and will rehab as hard as he can for the next few days to see if he can get back on the field down at Doak Campbell Stadium. There are no MRIs planned, which at least suggests the diagnosis was pretty straight-forward. Coach Jim Grobe said last night that the X-rays revealed no fractures. "He looks bad right now,’’ Grobe said in the post-game. "He’s in a boot and he’s on crutches. He’s really in a lot of pain.
