First year Wake Forest offensive line coach Jonathan Himebauch will get an unexpected player added to his arsenal soon.

According to a source close to the team, offensive lineman Steven Chase will return to the Demon Deacons football team for the 2012 season after being dismissed for breaking an unspecified university policy.

Despite head coach Jim Grobe stating on March 25 in a Dan Collins article that he "doesn't expect Chase to return," it appears that something might have changed his mind.

That something might have been the lack of returning experience on the offensive line. Chase started three games last year and will seemingly be a starter at one of the tackle spots and this will certainly bolster the line for next year and beyond if he can stay out of trouble. This bodes well for a Wake Forest team that will be looking to get its ground game back on track, as running back Josh Harris hopes to regain his freshman form after an injury-filled sophomore season.
