Wake Forest sophomore pitcher Jack Fischer has been named the Primetime Pitcher of the Week by College Baseball 360, as announced by the website on Tuesday. Fischer is now the second Deacon pitcher to earn the recognition this season, as Michael Dimock was named to the Primetime Performer Honor Roll on March 13. The Demon Deacon righty turned in maybe the most important performance of the season up to this point on Friday when he went 7.2 innings and led Wake Forest past Clemson 2-1. The win clinched a spot for the Deacs in the 2012 ACC Baseball Championship and doubled as head coach Tom Walter's 500th-career win.
