Wake Forest Recruiting National Signing Day Thread
National Signing Day is here, and that means the LOI's are being sent in as we speak for schools.
As of 8:00 I have not seen/heard anything solid about a Wake player sending in their LOI yet, although I'm sure it may not have been updated on a lot of recruiting websites. The minute that we hear/read/get word of our guys signing their LOI's it will go up here with links/stats/video of the player.
If you are new to this sort of thing, take a look at the Wake Forest Primer, which is a preview of what Wake Forest is expected to bring in today, as well as who might still choose the Deacs.
Give me a follow @BSD_RAJohnston on the Twitter Machine, as that will be the most up-to-date with other recruiting news, as well as breaking news for the Deacs until at least 9:30.

Jela Duncan
Duncan, the No. 23 RB in the nation according to Rivals.com, and the best uncommitted RB left in the nation will make his decision at 9.
The live footage can be seen here.
Late news is coming out that he has dropped Duke from his top 3, which would put it primarily between Wake and ECU, with Purdue as a longshot.
Heard some stuff yesterday that suggested he was leaning ECU, but he has kept it close to the belt.

Quinshad Davis info
A couple of tweets out there from people “in the know” are suggesting that Davis might be a late UNC lean. That would be a huge blow, as Tennessee might be out of it now because they just signed one of the best junior college WR prospects this morning to fill that need for them.
Not to mention Wake was the first school on him and has shown him loyalty since day 1, whereas UNC was late to the party.

Sounds like we are making a late push for a WR…not good at all regarding the Quinshad Davis announcement

The Quinshad news hurts. Would have been really good to have him.
Hopefully finish out the class with Lewinson and Jones and maybe one more late surprise out of nowhere.
Bah da da da da da da da, Go Deacs.

Recruiting class should be complete. The recruiting class will be officially announced at 4
I doubt there will be any late coups or signings. Getting in all 19 commitments is solid. Very frustrated about the Quinshad decision, particularly given the timing of the recruitments (Wake pursuing for far longer than UNC who very recently joined the chase) and the fact that we will actually be eligible for bowls in the next couple of years, but it is what it is.

I am eager to see what happens to some of UNC's recruits when sanctions are announced.
No idea if their method on the trail was to avoid the punishment talk and promise unicorns and rainbows, but that in all likelihood is not in the cards for the Heels after their 9 (10???) major NCAA violations. I want to see if guys like Quinshad reconsider staying because they felt like they were deceived by the coaches on the trail.

Got all 19 that were verbally committed to sign LOI's
Missed on the two we were hoping for today.
Quinshan Davis chose UNC over us, and Jela Duncan chose Duke over us.

Well it's hard to say...
Relative to the rest of the ACC/Country I would say it’s around a 3-4, but because Wake Forest is such an atypical team when it comes to recruiting, I would say it is at least a 7-8 on our scale.
Really difficult to tell at this juncture though. I love the balance, and the offer sheets seem to be more impressive than ever.
