I have been seeing Chris Givens pop up on a few fantasy football reports this week as a potential waiver wire pickup while Danny Amendola has been out. I, admittedly, have not been keeping track of Chris and the other former Deacs in the NFL as much as I would like to since I've been incredibly busy this fall. Anyways, I was looking at his stats over the past few weeks and have noticed that he has seen an uptick in production and has been having some good games. After a slow start, he has had 4 50+ yard receiving games in a row, typically punctuated by a big play. He has the speed and size to be a really productive receiver and threat in the NFL and it's nice that he's getting a chance to show some of his abilities. Hopefully he will continue to get more targets and develop as an additional threat for the Rams. Here are some quick hits on his season so far:
- Chris caught his first NFL touchdown in week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals on a 51 yard touchdown pass from Sam Bradford Givens 51 yard TD
- 2 weeks ago Chris caught a 65 yarder on a beautiful play where he burned the defenders - Givens 65 yard catch
- Last week, Chris pulled out 56 yards on a screen pass against Green Bay. He also had a nice end-around for 14 yards QB Bradford to WR Givens 56 yd
