One of the players that turned some heads earlier this month at Wake Forest elite camp was 6'7 wing Christian Hairston. The talented junior out of Greensboro Day School showed a versatile game and competitive attitude.
"Elite camp was a great experience for me," said Hairston. "It was great to spend time with the coaching staff and watch how they interacted with the players. There were a lot of great players at the camp and I enjoyed the competition."
Hairston showed a versatile game while at camp. He was able to score the ball from all over the court and showed a good handle and court vision for a 6'7" wing.
"I am able to do a bit of everything on the court. I see the floor well and have the ability to score it. I will do whatever I need to for my team."
After his camp performance, Hairston got some very encouraging feedback from the WFU coaches. "I talked to coach Battle and coach Bzdelik and they were both impressed, but we all agree that I could do even more and take it to the next level."
Hairston currently holds an offer from Oaklahoma State and is getting heavy interest from Wake, Richmond, Cal, Providence and Appalachian State. He claims no favorites but admits he "really likes" Wake Forest.
