From the Wake Forest SID Steve Shutt:
Wake Forest-Syracuse game moving to Thursday, September 1
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest and Syracuse have mutually agreed to move their season-opening football game to Thursday, September 1. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, September 3.
Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. EDT at The Carrier Dome in Syracuse. The game will be available on ESPN3.com.
This will be the second meeting all-time between the Demon Deacons and the Orange. Wake Forest opened its ACC Championship season in 2006 with a 20-10 win over Syracuse at BB&T Field.
The Syracuse contest will mark just the third time that Wake Forest has played a football game indoors. The Deacons played at Houston in the Astrodome in 1967 and 1970.
