Codi Miller-McIntyre flew under the radar into an ACC program Thursday when he committed to play basketball at Wake Forest. Miller-McIntyre is a 6-2 junior point guard at First Assembly Christian School in Concord and the Deacons’ first recruit for the 2012-13 season. Coach David Murr of First Assembly said a number of schools were showing increasing interest in Miller-McIntyre, but that Marshall was the only program other than Wake Forest to have offered a scholarship. Murr said the two reasons Miller-McIntyre wasn’t more widely known were he didn’t play basketball as a sophomore and his statistics were more a reflection of his role, unselfishness and strength of his team than his basketball ability.
