Wake Non-Revenue Sports Thread

PrintTalk golf, cross country, field hockey, baseball, tennis, track or even rugby...those sports don't get nearly enough attention, and especially for those students out there, there's a good chance every class you're in will have at least one if not more athlete on one of these teams.

Soccer teams are always practicing outside my dorm haha.
In all seriousness, golf is starting up and the men and women both should have pretty good teams this year.
Women’s team finished T-4th in a 3-day tournament @ +43

Sheary finished 2nd individually, and Woods finished T-4th. If we can get a steady 4th player then the sky is the limit for the girls this year.

Baseball team loses first game 15-4...down 4-2 in the 9th to LSU right now.

Deacs get swept by LSU in baseball, but defeat #35 ranked LSU in mens tennis
Not a good start by the Diamond Deacs, but they seem to be headed in the right direction with less errors, and a close game on Saturday.

Diamond Deacs bounce back from last weekend, and even up their season record at 4-4...
Got wins over UNC-G, Georgetown, and Minnesota. Dropped one to Northwestern.
The team is much improved, especially defensively, and I think could surprise in the ACC this year.

Deacs take the first game against State 11-5.
Great win by the Deacs…pulled the record to 10-15 (4-6). A sweep here would be big time for us in Raleigh.
Got Cooney on the mound tomorrow so I am really expecting us to go ahead and get the series win!
