The Wake Forest women's basketball team will look to continue their hot start to the year as they host the #25 Delaware Blue Hens today at 1:00 at the LJVM.

The primary focus of the game for the Deacs will without a doubt be guarding junior phenom Delle Donne, who comes into the game averaging 29 ppg and 10 rpg. She shoots 58% from both 2's and 3's, and is at 91% on the year from the line. Donne is 6'5 and plays the hybrid guard/forward position. At 6'5, Donne is two inches taller than anybody on the Wake Forest roster.

The Blue Hens are looking to improve to 8-0 on the year and move up in the national rankings.

Walker draws the assignment on Donne

Double-teaming her down low to start.

14-6 Delaware at the under 16.

Donne is essentially running the point and is nearly impossible to stop.

Deacs hit a couple of threes and cut the lead to 14-10.

Doing a good job of driving and kicking.

Wake switching defenders on Donne on nearly every possession

They are faceguarding her for all intents and purposes.

19-16 Blue Hens

Delaware turning the ball over a fair amount and the Deacs are capitalizing.

26-20 at the under 8.

Deacs looking pretty strong on defense. Also have gotten some good, easy looks inside on offense.

Promising start.

32-28 Deacs

Refs missed an egregious goal-tending goal on Donne, who pulled the net while the ball was on the rim.

The amount of exertion put forth on defense is hurting the offense

Great effort, but not enough movement when we have the ball.

Donne is getting the benefit of the doubt on every single shot from the refs.

Going to the line for two more on a very questionable foul call.

64-49 Delaware with 3:50 left

Halfcourt offense has been pretty bad this half for the Deacs.

Deacs cut the lead to 65-55 with 1:35 left

Secily Ray has shouldered much of the defense of Donne and has done a pretty admirable job.
