Game Recap in Haiku, Part 2: Vandy Eviscerates Deacs 41-7
Deacs came out, no heart
Intelligence insulted
Deacs phoned it in bad
Pretty much that, guys. 6-6. SHREVEPORT, WE COMIN' FOR YOU SUCKA!
Sigh. Oh well, we're bowl bound if nothing else. Better than I expected with this schedule. Whatever got the basketball team is contagious, apparently. It was clear to me the Deacs didn't care about this game. Oh, but Tanner Price broke the Wake single season passing yards record, so congrats Tanner!
Here's hoping hoops gives us a reason to smile tomorrow.

That suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked.
Not sure what exactly happened. Defenders decided it didn’t want to tackle. Receivers decided they would let passes bounce off their hands. We actually ran the ball fairly successfully, but pass protection was… less than ideal.
Long story short, we made baby Rodgers look like his big brother and their TE/H-back that caught the long touchdown pass look like Carl Lewis (yeesh that play was bad).
Yep...
That was tough to swallow, especially as a Wake alum and a Vandy legacy. Now I have to punch my dad in the face.

On the bright side...
North Carolina looks so pathetic right now (1 minute left in UNLV game). Re-bels! Re-bels! Re-bels!

The Definition of Schadenfreude
UNC’s failure was a delightful end to an otherwise miserable college sports weekend.

Yesterday
The effort from the football team yesterday was embarrassing. I hope the team didn’t actually waste their time “preparing” for this one. The score would have been the same if they had spent all that time writing their term papers (due in just two weeks).
The really good part about yesterday was that the women’s soccer team was honored at the football game. It was a rare opportunity for them to hear from all the Wake fans that are genuinely proud of what they have accomplished but have not been able to get to a match.
