FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- As is the norm at this time of year for many NFL teams, the Patriots had seven players in for tryouts. This is a way for teams to keep their emergency lists fresh in the event of injury. The Patriots also have one open practice squad spot, so they could be looking in that direction as well with some of the workouts.
The players in for workouts were:
G Thomas Austin (Clemson)
P T.J. Conley (Idaho)
WR Lance Long (Mississippi State)
WR Kenneth Moore (Wake Forest)
QB Keith Null (West Texas A&M)
P Hunter Smith (Notre Dame)
WR Paul Williams (Fresno State)
