Wake offers Tyler Lewis

According to Jerry Meyer of Rivals.com, Wake Forest has extended a scholarship offer to Tyler Lewis, an oft-discussed 2012 point guard from Statesville, NC.  Lewis, who currently stands at 5'11", plays his high school basketball for Forsyth Country Day in nearby Lewisville, NC under former Deacon standout Craig Dawson.  Lewis is known for his incredible court vision and basketball savvy and has been very effective on the AAU circuit playing multiple divisions up in the last couple years.

If you haven't seen it, take a look at our highlight video of Lewis from the recent Carolina Challenge, where he had a stock-boosting day.

Stay tuned to BSD for frequent basketball recruiting updates as the AAU Spring season begins!

So glad we offered him. I can live with not getting him, but I can’t live with us not offering. I believe he can be an excellent college point guard.

If I were Lewis I would accept on the spot haha.

I guess at this time it would be between VT and Wake. Then again he may and probably will receive additional offers.

Yeah, his parents went to VT. Auburn offered a while ago too.

He also received a Baylor offer in the last couple days.

Baylor has been raiding NC lately, especially Forsyth County schools.

Auburn offered under Lebo if I’m not mistaken

Totally Baffled

Why would we offer a slow white point guard? I wonder if Dino is a little racist but this offer is silly. There are so many black guards we should offer.
