Gamethread: Winthrop vs. Wake Forest--BEAT THE EAGLEZZZZZZZ

Ajd_gndandbigstuff_medium

Hardwood Deacs are back at it--here's hoping they'll build on the Elon game momentum. Get out to the Joel if you're able; tix are cheap and the team deserves the support.

Hard to imagine another ACC team losing to three mid-to-low majors at home with fairly big 2nd half deficits in all of them. Despite the injuries and bad luck, we are more talented than these teams. I just don’t understand.

by WakeJake on Nov 22, 2010 9:10 PM EST reply actions

What do you not understand?

We turn the ball over, we don’t hustle on defense, we don’t rebound well at all. We have limited players, and some of them just aren’t playing up to the caliber that we expected. These are recipes for disaster. We should be happy that we can shoot the ball well. If we shot as poorly as we did in years past then we would be getting beat by 30.

I don’t understand why we are doing all those things with the talent that we do have available.

In past years we would play defense and keep it closer at least.

This is like a trainwreck I can’t look away from. Is it bad I am kind of glad I have only been able to watch one game so far (but hey, it was the Hampton win!).

I just hope the team is striving to get better every day. That has to be the motto of the team for the rest of the season.
