Welcome Everyone

These two have a history of close games, and I expect nothing less today. Let’s get this party started.

WF

3 and out. It looks like Wake will need to pass if they want to move the chains against this tough BC defense.

WF-0 BC-3

Good drive for BC until they switched to the wildcat for two plays and got shut down. 32 YD FG good by Aponavicius.

WF

Turnover on downs on the BC 38.

Wake’s running game is going nowhere, especially the end-arounds and reverses. The passing game looks pretty good though.

WF-0 BC-10

Incredible one-handed in stride catch by Jordon McMichael for a BC 50 YD TD.

That’s the second time today that the Eagles have had a receiver wide open for over a 15 YD gain. Wake’s secondary has to step it up.

Wake’s first 3 plays of this drive sum up their offense so far. Runs on first and second down both went for losses, a third down bomb to Devon Brown went for a gain of 58.

why don’t they keep passing!??!?!

End of the 1st: WF-0 BC-10

Both teams passing games looking pretty good. Let’s see which secondary can make a play first.

WF

Jordan Williams dropped a 34 YD TD pass forcing Wake to attempt a 51 YD FG. FGA NO GOOD.

That’s a huge drop by Jordan. Again though, Wake is getting wide open players downfield even on passing downs (that one was a 3rd and 7)

BC

3 and out. Wake has it on their own 24.

WF-7 BC-10

76 YD TD run by Brandon Pendergrass

Right up the middle. Really the first time all game that Wake has tried an up the middle run. None of the trickery and outside speed was working, but one huge play like this can change things.

Embarrassing Stat of the Game: After that 76 YD touchdown run, Wake has 65 Yds rushing. womp womp

WF

INT by Michael Williams.

by Brian Burke on Sep 26, 2009 2:52 PM EDT reply actions

Either a miscommunication or just a terrible throw by Dave Shinskie, hard to tell which. Either way Michael Williams was right where he was supposed to be and is having a great game so far with a few deflections earlier.

WF-10 BC-10

23 YD FG GOOD by Jimmy Newman
