The dynamic of the ACC has changed this offseason. It's not necessarily a standings-altering change, but it's different, and in this case, different isn't good. The conference will be without three of its most exciting and best players this fall in BC linebacker Mark Herzlich, Virginia Tech running back Darren Evans, and possibly NC State linebacker Nate Irving, though we'll know more about Irving's playing status for this season after his doctor's appointment on Thursday.

"(I thought) I would be playing for four years and I'd come in the fifth year and just kind of cruise into it and think I had everything figured out, but that's definitely the least of the case. Skinner is the face of the program and has been for the past 4 seasons, leading his team to an 11-3 record his freshman season. Skinner has over 6000 career passing yards in a program that isn't known for amazing offensive performances. If he puts up slightly better numbers than last season he could end his career with 9000 passing yards, and shatter Wake records.
