Deac Duo Selected in Top 20 of NBA Draft

http://assets1.indy.com/photos/194670/default.jpg

After a couple months of difficult decisions, workouts and draft rumors, Wake Forest's James Johnson and Jeff Teague finally know where they will be playing next season.  Johnson found a nice fit with the Chicago Bulls at pick number 16, where he will try to help Derrick Rose and company get to the next level.  Johnson will likely compete with Luol Deng (if resigned), John Salmons, Joakim Noah and Tyrus Thomas for minutes at both forward spots.  Teague was selected only a few picks later at 19th overall by the Atlanta Hawks.  The Hawks are filled with athletic, fast paced players, so Teague should feel right at home.  If the Hawks resign Mike Bibby, Teague will fight Bibby and newly acquired scoring point guard Jamal Crawford for minutes.

This marks the first time in Wake Forest history that two Demon Deacons were taken in the first round.  We wish the best of luck to Jeff and James and appreciate the memorable highlights that they provided throughout their two years at WFU.
