Lunchtime Links 4/22

Hello all. I've been in and out of town the last few days and am actually back home up in Cleveland now for a couple days. Sorry about my hiatus, but Jake has done a terrific job keeping the blog going. Check out the Spring Game coverage if you haven't already, and onto the links.

The basketball team will have a tough game at Purdue in the ACC-Big 10 Challenge next season.  Purdue will be highly ranked, so this should be a huge early test for our Deacs.

The ACC Barnstorming event seems extremely interesting. It is at the Crown Center Arena at 7 PM. Tickets are $13.50.

The ACC Sports Journal highlights just how much weight the ACC carries in this year's draft.

Georgia Tech F Gani Lawal is testing the draft waters.

Gerald Henderson is still taking his time.

The Patriots still seem interested in Alphonso Smith at cornerback.

The Atlanta Falcons could also be looking Smith's way.

Aaron Curry says he'd take a below-market contract to become the number one pick by the Detroit Lions. How can you not like a guy like that?

NBA DraftNet has a nice recap of the Reebok All-American Weekend of which Ari Stewart dominated.

Pro Basketball News has James Johnson as the second-rated PF and Jeff Teague as the ninth-rated PG in the draft.

A day late on this, but an excellent profile on Alphonso Smith in the Charlotte Observer from David Scott.
