Deacon Dump 11/20: College Cup time

The weekend could not come sooner. It's quiet for the Deacs right now, so there aren't a ton of links, but the men's soccer team will take on UNC-Wilmington on Sunday in their quest for the College Cup. The Lady Deacs will hit up their matchup against South Carolina in the third round of the NCAA tournament tonight at 7 p.m.

"We (the athletic department) met with architects to see what would best suit the needs of Wake Forest basketball," Lassiter said. "We had our Screamin’ Demon board get involved in the process to decide what changes would create the best student environment at the games. Most ACC schools have a new standing room only section really close to the court. With the leadership of the Screamin’ Demon board and the help of the architects, the new section came to be."

Deacons will face UNC Wilmington
UNC Wilmington 1, UNC Charlotte 1 (UNCW 4-1 PKs): Visiting UNC Wilmington advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a victory over UNC Charlotte last night. UNC Wilmington (14-2-5) will play Wake Forest on Sunday at 5 p.m. at Spry Stadium. Daniel Roberts scored the lone goal in regulation for UNC Wilmington, and Adam Gross scored the lone goal for UNC Charlotte. The Seahawks beat the 49ers on penalty kicks after 110 minutes of regulation and overtime.
