well I guess according to fox sports, we should forget basketball and go straight from football to baseball
I am tired of people looking at 2 players getting drafted and ignoring the rest of the team (accept Aminu, it’s hard to forget about him). When it comes down to it, last year we had a top 5 recruiting class, and they are still there. To balance the extreme amount of young, talent there, we have 3 experienced, senior starters (well, I am not really sure if it’ll be Chas or Tony starting at center). I don’t think we will be as good as we were when we played UNC, but we are going to be much more consistent, and will never play as poorly as we did against the Techs, Maryland (in the ACC tourney), etc
To me the biggest question mark is the coaching. We know that Dino is one hell of a recruiter, now we are going to find out how good he is coaching a good team that doesn’t rely so heavily on players looking to the NBA (as we did last year).
The way I see it, Demon Deacon basketball is still on an upward trajectory with an extremely promising future. As I have mentioned elsewhere, I look for 2011-2012 to be our big year, hopefully we can finally make something happen postseason.
