Over-rated. Over-rated (c'mon everyone!)

Paulus_greg150_medium

I wanted to take a quick minute to point out one of my least favorite players and the slim impact he's had on the college basketball landscape.

Take a look. The number one rated PG in his class

via vmedia.rivals.com

He's putting up 5.6 ppg and has seen his minutes dip from 32.3 and 32.4 his first two years to 27.7 last year and 18.3 this year. His supporters cite "leadership," but if thats the case where are his minutes? Career high in assists: 5.2 his freshman year...dropped to 1.7 this year...1.76 A/T is poor as well. Three guards on his team are getting more minutes...whats the deal?

Senior PG's I'd rather have:
Darren Collison
Tyrese Rice
Levance Fields (my personal favorite)
Dominic James
Jack McClinton

To name a few...please submit more. If you disagree, I'd love to hear why!

Rivals '05 PG ratings

First, I have no idea how anyone thought Ginyard, J.P. Prince, or McAlarney could be point guards (Rivals did). Secondly, add Devan Downey and Curtis Jerrells to your list.

Downey

He’s a Junior…..was signed by Cincy but transferred…same class as Paulus and the rest, but had that transfer year…dunno if we can place him on the list….but he is dank.

Agreed on both acounts.

How could I forget about Jerrells??? Any PG who wears the number 0 (cough cough) gets respeck’ from me. Also…teammates with LaceDarius Dunn = double respeck’

PGs with the number 0

Jerrells and Teague are both nasty, but Gilbert Arenas is quite possibly the most overrated and overpaid PG in the NBA. Let’s keep it to college PGs with the number 0.

Arvydas Arenas

Don’t knock Gil. He was the leading vote-getter among players who have played 0 games…only 635,540 more votes than me (more than Joe Johnson and Derrick Rose). 42% on the career for FG% aint that good…but the man averages 22 ppg on his career on only 16.6 shots….which aint bad. Take the good with the bad, look at the wiz with and without him and say he’s vastly overrated…….

With Gilbert in the lineup.

Last year the wizards were 7-10 with Gilbert playing at least 10 minutes (including playoff games), 39-33 without him. Plus, he shot under 40% from the field in those 17 games, 28% from beyond the arc.

Impossible is nothing?, Agent 0’s contribution to the Wizard’s is nothing. I don’t blame Arizona for benching him.

Gil

9-35 this year without him, and three playoffs with him…he was hurt last year, gilly is the man.

Hey now

Easy on Agent Zero. He may be Mr. Glass, but he is going to have one hell of a career as a broadcaster some day.

HIBATCHI!

Bah da da da da da da da, Go Deacs.
